Steel Shutterers & Steel Fixers Full Time Contract by Employer Only residing in Malta or Europe

We are currently recruiting experienced and skilled Steel Shutterers and Steel Fixers on behalf of our client, a reputable and well-established construction company involved in high-profile building and infrastructure projects.

These are full-time roles suited for individuals with a strong background in formwork and steel reinforcement, who are confident working in a fast-paced, site-based environment and delivering quality workmanship to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Steel Shutterers:

• Assemble and dismantle formwork and shuttering for concrete structures such as walls, slabs, columns, and beams.
• Interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure precise formwork placement.
• Cut and shape timber and plywood or use pre-fabricated formwork systems as required.
• Ensure structures are safe, level, and ready for concrete pouring.
• Work closely with site supervisors and other trades on site.

Steel Fixers:

• Position and secure steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and steel mesh used in reinforced concrete.
• Cut and bend steel using hand and power tools according to specifications and drawings.
• Tie rebar together using wire and pliers.
• Follow technical plans and ensure all work meets structural and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with shuttering teams and concrete pourers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Steel Shutterer and/or Steel Fixer within the construction sector.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification (as required by local regulations).
• Ability to work well in a team and under minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for manual work.
