Structural Engineer Full Time Contract by Employer Only residing in Malta

Our client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their quality assurance team. The professional section of the company handles a wide range of tasks, including:

• Assessments of deteriorating buildings
• Design and detailing of structural solutions for existing buildings
• Design and detailing of new building structures
• Foundation design and detailing
• Stabilization of foundations and structures
• Stabilization design and implementation for excavations and slopes
• Design and detailing of special underground structures

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of deteriorating buildings to identify and recommend necessary structural solutions.
• Design and detail structural solutions for existing buildings, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Develop and detail designs for new building structures, including foundations, ensuring stability and durability.
• Implement and design stabilization solutions for foundations, excavations, and slopes.
• Design and detail specialized underground structures, ensuring they meet required specifications.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure quality and safety in all project phases.
• Perform quality assurance checks and reviews on design plans and construction work.
• Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation on quality assurance findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on structural design and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
