Semi-Senior Accountant Full Time Contract by Employer Only residing in Malta

Our client is a long-established professional services firm with over 30 years of experience in the Maltese market. As part of a leading global network of independent accounting and advisory firms operating in over 145 countries, they are known for their strong commitment to client service. Their portfolio includes a wide range of clients, from large, reputable groups to small and medium-sized businesses.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Handling a portfolio of clients operating in various industries
• Assisting in the month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconciling accounts
• Preparing VAT returns and Recapitulative Statements
• Preparing management accounts
• Preparing supporting schedules for auditors and assisting in external audits by providing documentation and reports
• Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates must be in the process of completing an **ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification**
• At least **two years of experience in accounting** is required
• Ability to work independently
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach when liaising with clients
