Accountant Full Time Contract by Employer Only residing in Malta

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and monitoring/reconciling bank and investment records. You will also be expected to manage insurance and reinsurance balances and ensure the timely submission of monthly accounting data from third-party insurance managers.

Additionally, the role involves computing and completing Solvency II returns in line with regulatory requirements. You will also assist with the completion of other regulatory submissions and contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monitoring and reconciliation of bank and investment records
• Managing and reconciling insurance and reinsurance balances
• Coordinating monthly data submissions from third-party managers
• Preparing Solvency II and other regulatory returns
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

About You:

You should be highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Requirements:

• A recognized qualification in Accounting (University Degree, ACCA, or equivalent). Candidates at final ACCA stages may also be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance function
• Experience in the insurance sector will be considered an asset
